RECONSA – Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS

An-Nur Islamic Centre, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) will be organizing the Regional Conference on Student Activism 2016 (RECONSA) with the theme “Volunteerism: Advocacy & Empowerment”. The conference will be held from 11th to 13th of November 2016 at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Bandar Sri Iskandar, Perak.

Regional Conference on Student Activism (RECONSA) is a platform to bring together students from the ASEAN region who are interested and actively involved in volunteerism activities. 

The objectives of this conference are as the following:

1.      To provide a platform for students to share their ideas, thoughts and experiences on volunteerism.

2.      To reinforce the concept of well-rounded students in volunteerism, contributing to the society with effective solution on societal problems.

3.      To provide the opportunity of long-term connection with the participants and other organizations.


The participation for RECONSA 2016 is open to all citizen; especially students, lecturers and members of clubs and society, Non-Goverment and any Government organizations from all ASEAN countries. As such, we aim to gain participation from your institution/organization/club/society in this auspicious event.

1.      Promote your university's/institution achievements in producing well-rounded students.

2.      Encourage participants to think creatively and critically in helping the society towards a better world.

3.      Expand students' perspective on volunteerism.

8.      The participation fee for the presenter is FREE.

Paper submission is NOT compulsory and only presentation slides are needed prior event day.
