The “2014 International Student Conference on Environment and Sustainability (ISCES 2014)” is hosted by United Nations Environment Program and Tongji University in Shanghai. This conference will offer the participants to learn about green future environment. The participants will be divided into five groups in the following areas: food, health,ecosystem, green city and green consumption. With the support of the UNEP, Tongji University and Beijing Green Future Environmental Foundation, plus the experience gained in the last two years, this year’s conference will be a success in the promotion of practices and concepts of sustainable development among university students.

The whole documents should be submitted in ITS International Office Rectorate building 2th floor, deadline: 27 february 2014
-No registration fee will be charged.
-5-night (June 4-June 8) local accommodation, transportation in Shanghai and site trips will be provided by organizers.
-We will NOT cover your expenditure for the trips between the airport and Tongji University.
-We will NOT cover your flight tickets from and to your home country
The following meals will be offered by the organizer:
- June 4: Dinner
- June 5-8: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
- June 9: Breakfast
We wil offer scholarships to competitive participants out of China. For those who win the scholarships, the organizer will cover part of their flight tickets. For applicants from Latin America and Africa, the highest amount of the scholarship we will provide for will be 10,000RMB. And for applicants from Asia(except for China), Europe and Oceania, and North America, the highest amount will be 5,000 RMB. If the price of the flight tickets exceeds the required amount, the applicants have to afford the exceeded part by themselves.
To apply for the scholarship, the participants should submit the following documents to firstname.lastname@example.org before the application deadline:
1) two recommendation letters from associate professors or above, with their signatures;
2) Works on the concepts or practices of sustainable development, in any form (eg: papers, videos, photo albums, etc. NOT in the form of posters, because all applicants should submit a poster.）
We highly recommend you submit videos on sustainability. The deadline to submit the application documents will be February 27.
